[OOC: planning to take China to the meteor show :D Kiku: we'll meet up whenever it starts, anyone else is free to join as well <3]
Having heard of the storms from the local news station just days before, Michael was up and ready the fifteenth even before the shower was expected. And although his older brother was supposed to be working that day, nothing was going to stop Michael from getting a look at those stars.
As a kid, Michael was taught that meteors were nothing more than rocks falling through the atmosphere and setting aflame under the Earth's magnetic pressure. Knowing his Aniki wasn't much for anything other than business studies, he was going to have a lecture for him today. And this class study began with a text book dropping straight onto his brother's head.

Yao looked around his work desk back in his home, it was stacked high with new/old proposals, rumored lawsuits, etc. Hell, there's even some request slips for the employees and interns who requested a day off or a day change. He groaned, it didn't look like he got anything done at all; despite the fact he started /three/ hours ago. At least his schedule today doesn't have anything about going to the office so he could stay home and work. The radio called for a meteor shower and a huge storm in the near future.
'I need to buy some supplies before everyone panics and takes everything from the market,' He thought, hoping to have a nice and quiet day. That is, until a book falls on his head.
"Ow!" Yao rubs his head, nursing it, "Aiyah...who would do such a--..." And then he realized Shang was still home. In a creepy angry voice, he turned slowly to the perpetrator, "....Shannnnnnnggggggg..."

"..." Shang wasn't much a scared little kid anymore. At the moment, he still had books, heavy ones too, and he wasn't much afraid to use them.
Slamming another book against his brother's torso, he blinked, "Wait! No time for this. Gotta get to the Main Hall!"
Grabbing his older brother, he dragged him out of the bed, sheets dragging behind them. "Come on, Aniki! Come on! Come on! Come on!"

His scare tactic didn't work on Shang, which was expected since he was older now. But his brother's second attack got him caught off guard as another book hit his torso and left him without breath. "Shang," Yao wheezed, "What the hel---?!"
As Yao was pulled out of bed, all of his paperwork flew around the room as the sheets dragged after him. And now we have a pissed off older brother.

"We're gotta GO!" He pushed. Rather, pulled, as his brother was putting little to no effort into helping Michael drag him across the room. Not that Michael was expecting any, that is.
Michael had set out one of Yao's usual outfits, black slacks with a pin-collar shirt. Dropping his brother near the dresser, he proceeded to fix the table, having already finished making breakfast.
"We're going to be some of the first ones there. I know it."

"Ugh, better not have carpet burn after this," He said to himself, standing up slowly, "Aiyah...why today?"
He sluggishly got dressed, annoyed and tired enough that he hadn't noticed Shang's tone being different then usual. He went to the freezer to get some ice first for his head before sitting on the table for breakfast, being a grumpy brother at the moment.

"Because today's the day."
Michael slid over a plate for his brother, filled with bacon and eggs and, of course, rice. It was rare you'd find him rushing around like this. Any other morning and he'd still be in bed, his brother the one having to slam books to wake him up.
"You ready?" He bounced, having stole a swig of his brother's coffee earlier that morning,"I'm ready; you ready? I am."

"What's today?" Yao drank his coffee, the caffeine calming him down. Once he started on the food and thanking Shang, he finally realized that his brother was excited today. 'Something like that happens every couple of years,' He jokingly thought to himself, 'Might as well listen.
"Hold your horses Shang, I'm almost done," Yao tells him, finishing up the rice and downing the rest of his coffee.

A small smile spread across his face, a rare encounter for one usually appearing so depressed.
Stealing a biscuit from the counter, he skipped back to his brother's side like a kid would his new bike. "You mean you don't know?"
"Oh. And I don't own any horses."

Yao ruffles his hair, Shang's smile was contagious. "Know what? For today?"
"And that was an expression. All right, I'm ready."

With a quick salute, Shang hurried to the door, tossing his brother's coat to him. "Let's go then."
After a few more minutes of dragging and shoving and pulling as Shang tried to hurry his brother onto the rail, they were finally at the Main Hall.

"All right, all right! Calm down....why are we at the Main Hall?" Yao then looked at all the telescopes and what not. "Ah, then the Meteor Shower was suppose to be tonight?"
This was the first time that he even attended one of these gatherings actually. Usually he was busy at work, like today for instance. And Shang was excited about it too.

Up in the Highland homes a small black haired man was in his room. There was no school today, the chores had been all done and the house was pristine and perfect. Kiku sat in his computer chair, playfully swiveling in it almost unconsciously.
It was an exceptionally quiet day. Kiku's mother, unfortunately, wasn't exempt from work. She told him to get some fresh air if he was going to spend the whole day on the internet. "Perhaps go the the Main Hall," he recalled. She shot him a wink and left him some Sol as she left.
Kiku didn't know why his mother was so specific with the Main Hall but the small mystery slipped away from his mind as the day dragged on.
The small man was on an online chat with his school friends, frequent 'tip-taps' coming from the keyboard. The topics ranging from various mundane events to the upcoming storm to the latest episode of 'Gullen Raggan'. Eventually someone asked Kiku about his relationship with a certain someone. Unable to answer coherently, he tried to change the subject to the first thing that came to his head. What his mom had said earlier.
It worked, thank the heavens. But what Kiku did learn was that a Meteor Shower was supposed to happen tonight. It's an extremely rare occurrence and supposedly a very beautiful phenomenon. Kiku was interested now. And, after dodging more questions about a certain someone, he excused himself from the chat, grabbed a coat and got out of the house.
---
As soon as he got to the Main Hall he was quite surprised to see the telescopes, all ready to view the shower of stars that was approaching. He sighed internally. How great would it have been to come here with Mingxia, watch the beautiful Meteor Shower and-- Kiku shook his head suddenly. She was busy right now and that was that.
As he walked around he noticed a familiar face. Kiku's eyes widened a bit in surprise, not expecting him to be here. There was a small part of him telling him to just turn tail and avoid talking to him. But the idea was baseless. There was no reason to give a happy hi to your boss. Especially outside of work.
He quietly approached the taller man, who was accompanied by someone else, his son maybe? Kiku stopped a few feet away and called out. "Ah. Mr. Wang, sir. It's quite a surprise to see you here."

Yao looked around the Main Hall, impressed with all the telescopes and the curious onlookers. All the ages were here; children with their families, teenage couples, and even some of the elders took the time to see the stars. They were beautiful, that much was true, and full of mystery.
Making sure he could still see Shang from the corner of his eye, he was suprised when he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"Mr. Honda?" He turns around to greet him, "Hello! And yes I'm somewhat surprised myself. Usually I would be at my home working after all."

More people were arriving at the hall. Sunset was fast approaching. In the back of his head, Kiku was definitely excited. He had never witnessed anything like this before. Books he'd read and pictures in those books were usually as far as he'd get to know the world around him.
The smaller man gave a light chuckle. His boss was busy as ever. Kiku's eyes drifted to the young man accompanying Yao. They looked very very similar. This really only reinforced the idea he was maybe Yao's son or brother maybe? "Does your companion have anything to do with that?"

(How dare you mistake a Chinese man for a Chinese man. Gosh, Kiku, so insensitive. /dies)
Michael grinned, an eerie aura seeping into the dialogue. Jutting his hand out, smile fading into formality, he took a slight bow to his brother's associate. For some reason, he didn't like this man. And for whatever reason that was, he was going to make the most of it; one sick prank at a time.
"My name is Michael Wang. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Business Man."
Noting the Asian;s business tag, he tried to smile again; finding it hard to actually look happy compared to his usual mad scientist attempts.
"You're MingXia's husband...huh."

(( Wat? Damn, I'm so insensitive. :c ))
Kiku blinked and shifted backwards as Yao's companion greeted him. 'Mr. Business Man?' he mused internally as he sized up the other. As he bowed Kiku politely bowed back, peeking his interest. Apparently, they'd had similar upbringings. Only islanders who descended from Asia usually bowed.
Kiku saw Michael smile. And, well, he wouldn't say it to him directly, but it looked a bit forced. As he was about to ask his relation to his boss, considering they shared the same surname, Michael asked a question that took him by surprise.
"H-H-Husband? H-How do you know Mingxia?" he stuttered, his widening in surprise.

((lollll))
"Ah, yes. This is--.." But Shang interrupted Yao with his own introduction. His brothers greetings caused him to facepalm. 'Mr. businessman?' He thought, 'hang's planning to pull pranks on him now, isn't he? Better warn Mr. Honda....at least he remembered to bow.' Granted it's not like Mr. Honda would die from said pranks, he himself has gotten a few bruises from it but that's all. Still, Yao decides to watch over them just in case; Mr. Honda had much potential in his field of study. Way better then the other slackers.
Listening on to their conversation, he paled when he heard Mingxia's name. Yao was pretty sure his cousin's name was uncommon and cringed when he remembered some of the memories he thought he had forgotten. But how did Shang know of her? He never talked about her or introduced her before. The same with Mr.Honda. It was a small world after all.

"She talks about you all the time, aren't you married yet?" Michael said with little to no emotion in his expression, though he was enjoying Kiku's stuttering.

Kiku's mouth was agape slightly. Goodness, how could he say such things so monotonously? Kiku shifted his gaze to his boss who looked just about as clueless on the subject of Mingxia as him. Did they know Mingxia too? Small small world.
A response wasn't coming to the intern. After fumbling with his thoughts for a second, "N-No, of course not. She isn't of age to be married to anyone." Kiku responded flatly. He raised his eyebrow slightly, however. 'She talks about me all the time?' he repeated in his head. "Please allow me to ask again, how do you know Mingxia?" he asked politely, also shooting an inquisitive look at his boss.
