Ludwig was walking down through the shops and games that was set up on the beach. He was enjoying the sites and sounds that was all going on and he couldn’t help remembering the last time his family was down here to enjoy it. He tried a few of the games that they had and even won a stuff bear from the shooting gallery.
“HEY LUDWIG!!!” someone cried out. He turned around to see a short curly hair brunette who was waving at him. He jogged over smiling as he called out,
“Hey Rob, how you doing?” Ludwig leaned a bit back to get a better look at the game. Robert or Rob to his friends smiled that familiar con-man smile that got some girls and always got him in trouble.
“Good. Want to play?”
“I see you’re still conning and lying to people.” He force a smile at his friend.
“Just skill and percentages chance my friend and I foresee a 100 percent chance that you’ll be assisting me today.”
“I don’t think so.”
“Oh, I think so, since I’m cashing in on that favor you owe me.”
“What? Today?” Ludwig dropped the smile as his friend leaned his head and tap his chin.
“Well, I suppose I could always reform my ways and start telling the truth. Maybe I’ll start with your father and explain how that University window reeeaaally got broken.” Ludwig silently cursed before he said,
“Grr, Fine Whatdoyouwantmetodo?”
The kid smirked at him.
“Do you have a pair of swimming trunks?”
After he changed and wasted a bit of time being dragged and tugged by Rob, Ludwig got into the sit of the dunk tank. Rob called out to the people using his words to bring them in. Most of the people who play didn’t get close or near the spot to dunk him. Then one of the pitchers from the University baseball team came up. Ludwig paled as the young man wound up and just after the ball left his hand, Ludwig leaned over and caught it before it touched the target.
“Hey you can’t do that Ludwig!” Yelled out Rob.
“Make it the selling point Rob. A challenge for those who want to face it.” He hoped his bluff will work as his hand throb in pain from the ball, because he really doesn’t want to be dunked at all. The young man thought on it and smiled with a nod
“Yes that would make it fun.” The pitcher complain to Rob, but he shrug.
“It’s not that fun if you can hit it so easily right? You do that every time for practice. This make it harder for you and more fun.” The pitcher nodded in agreement and got ready for his other two throws. The one missed and Ludwig caught the other. More people started to come in now that the game was a bit more challenging then before. Rob laugh and said to Ludwig,
“If I knew that you are the key to bring in people I would had cash in that favor sooner.” Ludwig groaned as a new person step up to take the game.
