First of all, thank you to those who took part in last month's event. Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and England are now eligible for a special regain. It was going to be a memory of one of the other Nations anyway, but I'm going to say that it can either be one of their previous regained memories with any other Nations involved now remembered, or if there's something you want them to remember about someone else send me a PM.
And now, without further ado, on to this months plot!
Plague has reached Solus. It actually started in the Dump in April, but went unnoticed, as many things do there. Like the plague that killed off so many in the old world, it starts much like a cold; nothing but a temperature, feeling light headed, and maybe a runny nose. For a lucky few it stops there, but for the majority by the second day they feel full on flu symptoms: a high fever, the shakes, sometimes even hallucinations. These will continue for up to five days, and then, on some people, boils will form, and their condition will worsen, and they will be dead within 48 hours.
At first the government refused to accept that this was happening, but by the second week of May, after the 15th death in the Lowlands, they finally fell into action. Transport was shut down, splitting the two cities, but it was two late; it had already reached the Highlands. Everything shut down; schools, businesses, even the government itself was restricted to the very highest members, staying locked away in the hall as Solus battered down to wait out the storm.
This plague will infect everyone on the island one by one, either leaving it's victims dead, or immune. There are no long lasting effects from the first or second stages, although the second stage will take up to a week to recover from. The hospitals have been over run with cases, and in both the Highlands and the Lowlands, volunteers who have already had the plague and built up an immunity have been asked to come and help look after the other victims.
As usual, this plot will be open for a month, and those who take part will get to regain a special memory afterwards! So go out and have fun!
