Country: Spain
Name: Antonio Carriedo
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Profession: Barkeep
Highlander or Lowlander?: Lowlander
All the strangers look like family
All the family look so strange

Appearance: Tall and broad-chested, Antonio tends to look laid-back and confident. His hair is the color of chestnut, and has a slight wave to it. His eyes are a dull mix of greens and browns. Usually seen with a smile on his face and surrounded by happy drunk people.
Personality: His closest friends know that Antonio tends to see everything as a game, including relationships and his job. He can lie through his teeth and is constantly joking around. Usually, he's in a good mood, laughing and playing with his customers. However, he has been known to be agressive, especially when his bar, Elixir, is concerned. He will forcibly eject people from his bar when he believes that they've had enough. He has a habit of randomly taking strangers in when they have nowhere else to go. Will fight for things he wants, but also gets bored of things easily.
History: His life was never really remarkable. He never did very well, but never did very badly either. He was, however, very sociable and made many friends. Out of the blue one day, he decided that he wanted to run a bar, and so he got a job, saved up money, and fought his hardest to get that bar. Surprisingly, he's owned Elixir for several years now. He lives above the bar and keeps a spare room for guests.
His father ran a small shop, selling clothes. Antonio was always expected to take over the business. Even now, his father comes by to try to convince him to start running the shop. His mother stayed at home, and taught her son how to cook and grow vegetables, which he still does.
Recurring nightmare: the War of the Peninsula - Attacked and invaded by an ally, and even when it was over, there were still tons of problems.

Likes: Tomatoes are his favorite food. Hands down. Sleeping is his number one favorite thing to do, followed closely by sex and soccer. He also tends a garden, as he enjoys having his own home-grown food.
Dislikes: Violent drunks are his pet peeve, and so he tries to keep them out of his bar. He was never fond of fishing or shoes. He absolutely hates talking with his father because he keeps going on about his store. He isn't fond of people who won't stick up for themselves, so he tries to do it for them.

Roleplay Sample:
Antonio was 17 when he decided he wanted a bar. His father was very hurt when he broke the news to his parents. 'A bar is no respectable place for a child like you!' his angry father had told him. But that didn't matter now. Antonio was determined to get that bar now, if only because his father didn't approve.
He walked down the street, lined with frosty trees. His breath came out in visible puffs, and his hands, hidden in mittens, stayed cozy in his pockets. He stared at the different stores nearby, filled with people.
A small cafe sat on the corner. Couples sat at the few tables outside, laughing and chatting. Feeling around in his pockets, he pulled out just enough change for a warm drink. He pulled open the door, greeted with a warm burst of air. There were more people inside, and the noise was a comfortable, happy buzz. He greeted the cashier casually, ordering a drink. As almost a second thought, he turned to the girl and flashed a brilliant smile.
"You know, that color really suits you," he glanced quickly at her uniform before looking up to meet her eyes.
She smiled and blushed. "Y-You think so?"
"Yes, of course. It brings out the color in your eyes," He briefly wondered if he was being too cheesy. But it was working. "Is it always so busy in here...?"
She nodded. "Winter brings a lot of customers looking for something warm to snack on."
"Really? Well, I guess I can understand that. I mean, that's why I came in!" Antonio laughed. He leaned closer to her, over the counter that separated them. "So I was wondering... Are you guys hiring? I've been thinking about getting a job recently."
Having a job would earn him some extra money. Extra money meant he could save up for the bar. He'd have to keep it from his father though; his father would just get angrier.
Three years and two more jobs later, He'd put enough money away to get the bar. He stood in front of the building; it used to be a restaurant, and it was on the same, tree-lined street as the cafe he had worked at.
