Name: Zoe Wilson (Zoe is what I see a lot for Wy, it kind of conveys a sense of tomboy-yet-artist in my opinion) (Wilson because it's a common Australian surname )
Gender: Female
Age: 13

Appearance:
Zoe is the type of girl that will likely be mistaken for someone younger than she actually is for the rest of her life. Her body is on the underdeveloped side, even for a thirteen year old. All of her features are slight and and smooth. She's shorter than most girls her age, not even five feet tall and very light. Zoe's most remarkable feature is her eyebrows, which are very large and bushy, though for many that just adds to her 'cute' appearance, especially because said eyebrows are often in a scowl or confused look. She keeps her brown hair short with the excess in a single side pony tail. She tends to wear clothing that is comfortable and breezy and does not like to be over encumbered in layers. Generally, her posture is introverted and unwelcoming.
Personality:
The first impression that Zoe leaves depends on what age the other person is. To another teenager, she'd likely come off as stuck up and full of herself while to an adult, she'd likely seem like a brat. While our actions define who are, she isn't a classical case of either of those tropes internally. Zoe had very little success making friends as a child, so she likes to deny people by not being welcoming before they can deny her in a more verbal manner. This is a subconscious process, but a potent one. She's unlikely to shake hands with someone, often claiming that she has paint or something else on her own and doesn't want to rub it off on the other person. It's not impossible to befriend her, but someone would have to be pretty friendly to get it started and rather persistent to keep it going.
Zoe is the type to get completely wrapped up in a project from start to finish. She hates being interrupted when she's just started something new and scorns anything that might divide her focus. If Zoe has taken on a task, you can expect it to get done before it needs to be completed. If you want her to do anything once she's already got something on her plate, it better be very important or you can't expect it to be done until everything else is finished. No matter who it is, she'll make them wait.
Animals are the main thing that get her attention independent of any artistic quality, though animals do find themselves in many of her pictures as well. She grew up with pets and finds them better company than most people. She doesn't understand people who find a need to pick between cats and dogs or fish and hamster or what have you. She'd rather just have all of them, especially if it's exotic or rare. For this reason, she often carries around a stuffed rabbit despite the likelihood that it's not helping her grown up image.
Zoe often takes things the wrong way if they aren't bluntly stated. If there's an interpretation that makes it seem like someone was insulting her, that's the one she'll dwell on. Once she believes that someone was making fun of her, the belief is pretty much stuck there. She's not above holding grudges even with people that she barely knows. It's often safest just to say what you want to say, even if it is an actual insult, as it takes away any guess work. For the most part, Zoe holds herself to this same standard. If she doesn't like you, you'll know. The only deviation comes in the form of crushes. At that point, all bets are off and she's likely to not treat the other person the best in hopes they won't figure out that she likes them. If she were to actually be in a relationship, she'd likely be prone to lose that edge as they would share the same positive place in her heart as her other favorite things, though public displays of affection would be beyond her ability.
History:
Zoe's parents were both scientists. Her mother was a biologist with leanings toward zoology and her father was a physicist who also had a solid meteorology background. Both were well respected within their fields and were often the heads of important projects, though due to their differing fields and personal tastes they never worked on a project together. Zoe was their second child and the second one that they didn't have much time for. While they were both excited and interested in their work, neither seemed that into raising children. Her older brother, who in her opinion is nothing like them, ended up being her larger source of affection and guidance. But, the space her parents gave her allowed her to grow into an independent person, perhaps too independent.
During the early grades, Zoe had trouble making friends. Interacting with other kids made her nervous and she often snapped at them or said rude things that she didn't mean. It didn't take long for her to get a reputation as the girl you didn't want to hang out with. Still, she had people that could be considered her friend. They'd wander into her life and wander out a few months later to eventually be replaced by someone else who was lonely and need a 'filler friend'. Amidst this casual loop of friendship, Zoe began to draw excessively. Unlike her parents, she was more artistically inclined than scientifically. She was smart enough at math and science, but both bored her and art seemed to comfort her in a way nothing else did.
Her brother was very encouraging with her new hobby, though by the time she was good at it he was getting old and starting to have a lot going on in his own life. When she was eight, he gave her a stuffed rabbit as his replacement whenever she needed a hug and she rarely was too far from the toy since. She would even bring her stuffed rabbit to school and restaurants. It'd watch her paint or draw and was the subject of many of those early works.
Recurring nightmare:
The recurring theme is waiting around for a long amount of time for things that seem trivial. For example, she'll ask someone to pass the mustard and they'll never do it. ( rofl, 11 years for a drive-way. That's all I got!)

Likes:
-Painting (It's one of her favorite past times. It can create a different mood than a drawn picture and she considers it an entirely separate medium of expression)
-Drawing (Either with pencil, pastel or charcoal, this is her favorite of all things to do. She finds it relaxing and invigorating. )
-Animals (Zoe loves animals. She doesn't find toads or insects gross, she finds them interesting. Outside of being stuck in a cage with a lion, she's pretty much up for any animal exposure)
-Landscapes (One of her favorite things to capture on paper. The different textures and lighting that one can apply to a landscape portrait is amazing. )
-Respect (Zoe hates that her small body leads people to assume she's ten or younger. Giving her respect is a quick way for her to trust you)
Dislikes:
-Being treated like a little kid (Little kids don't like being treated like little kids, a teenager certainly isn't going to)
-Girly things (Aside from the color pink, she's really not into 'girl things' like dresses or make up)
-Surprises (They freak her out)
-Thunder (Also freaks her out)
-The Cold (she's much happier when it's hot, you don't have to bother with coats or gloves)
-Euphemisms/Beating around the bush (Just say what you want to say )

Roleplay Sample:
What was so great about Iphones? Or more accurately, smart phones in general. She had only gotten one because everyone else seemed so attached to theirs. The decision seemed pretty stupid now. This is what she got for caving in to societal trends. It had taken her a week to figure out how to find her address book in under a minute and nothing else was coming any faster. Thank God she didn't have fat fingers or texting would have been a complete nightmare. Or more of a nightmare than it already was. Her own mess ups could rival failblog.
Whatever. If it wasn't going to be a solid source of entertainment, then she wouldn't let it be a source of frustration. If someone wanted to get a hold of her, they could bloody wait until she was ready to respond. If not, they could call and damn 'em if they thought she was behind the times for thinking so. They probably weren't entertaining enough to warrant being frustrating either. Not even that Italian-- Especially not that Italian boy who thought, incorrectly, that she had some sort of crush on him. She was Zoe Wilson, she didn't get crushes, least of all on people like him!
She put the thin black paper-weight back with her other things. It had just been her lab partners texting her anyway. The lab write up was due in three days, they didn't need to be bothering her today. Zoe looked down at the sketch pad in front of her. The bird she had been drawing was gone and with it, her inspiration. She sighed. Oh what wonderful afternoon this was becoming. Just enough on the page to mock her with its potential. She would definitely be less quick to comply with interruptions next time.
A shadow crept over her notebook. It lingered a bit too long and she looked up to see who it belonged to. Her looked darkened slightly to see a little boy standing there. “Need something, mate?” She asked curtly as she attempted to ward him away with her face expression alone.
“Did you see a frisbee go by here?” He asked, frustratingly oblivious to her glares.
“No. I didn't,” she replied, looking back down at her unfinished drawing. To her relief, the shadow went away a moment later and she could see how good of a start she already had. Maybe if she just touched it up here... The phone buzzed again. Rolling her eyes, she took it out, but before she could look for a message, she noticed it was still vibrating. It was a call. From the Italian... Well at least isn't wasn't a text. This time, she'd answer for him.
“Oi, what'dya need?” She asked, her tone softer than her words. He rambled on about something. It was easy to get lost when he spoke because his sentences all flowed together like a river while she was used to more punctuated and concise words. “Yeah, I guess I could go with you. But you better not forget!”
She blushed, glad he couldn't see it through the phone.
