Highlander or Lowlander?:Lowlander

Appearance:Belle stands at a moderate five foot six, she’s quite tall for a girl which is something she takes great pride in. Her hair is a short choppy blonde colour that ends at her shoulders and is usually decorated with a colourful headband, her skin is pale (though its normally covered in a light dusting of flour) with a light touch of peach that tans easily in the hot summer sun. Belle has a rounded face with bright sparkling emerald green eyes, her lips are a pouty heart shape coloured a light pink. Overall her body type is lithe, she’s very skinny though she isn’t without a faint trace of curve she’s not the prettiest of girls but she’s isn’t the plainest and although she doesn’t see herself as utterly gorgeous she definitely believes she holds some beauty.
Personality: Belle is a very modest girl with a patient composure, she’s a friendly girl with a big smile ready for everyone who treats her with respect. Due to her cheery disposition she’s the type of person who likes to find the light at the end of the tunnel and believes that even in the most desperate of times there’s always a way to make it better. She’s very mature for her age and normally isn’t one to jump into a lot of fights however being reserved doesn’t mean she’s meek, Belles not shy at all in fact she’s probably one of the more confident girls.
Belgium has also been described as the friendly big sister type, which means she enjoys taking younger people under her wing and helping them out in any shape she can. Of course she hasn’t had the chance to so this yet but she’d like to assume she’d be a brilliant influence on a younger person, if she ever had the opportunity. Belle also takes a great pride in anything she bakes, she’s a pretty average gloater and while she isn’t one to shout it from the rooftops in a very boastful fashion she tries to make sure other people in the shop notice her achievements.
Like most girls Belle has a temper! When angered she’ll do either two things. Lash out, argue back and basically raise hell, or she’ll sulk, and when Belle sulks you can expect the silent treatment for a long time, and considering she’s one to hold grudges it’ll take a lot of grovelling and apologising to make it up to her. Belle is also incredibly rebellious; she simply hates being told what to do by anyone who hasn’t earned her respect, she finds it incredibly annoying and will make a rather big thing about doing the opposite, of course that’s only if the one tell her what to do has ticked her off, if its someone whose polite about it she’ll probably follow the orders to some extent.
Though not many people really anger her, Belle’s temper is great, as mentioned she’s a patient person but sadly sometimes her siblings take advantage of her patience and she can be pushed around. However she won’t stay silent for long once someone does push her over the edge and you can expect fireworks when her temper finally does erupt.
History:Bell was born to a poor Lowlander family, her parents were sweet people that carried a smile for everyone they met. Happy in their work they set about creating a stable family home for their young daughter. Belle herself grew up with the average lifestyle a lowlander girl could expect. She wasn’t a social butterfly but she was friendly enough towards the other children her age so that she made enough friends to satisfy her.
At the proper age, she began school and immediately hated it. She wasn’t an unruly pupil she just couldn’t grasp some of the concepts they were educated and continued to get very low grades. Throughout her whole school career she was deemed a lot cause by most of her teachers. It worried Belle, and she’d stay up all night panicking over thoughts on her future, what if she couldn’t job when she finally left school? What if the teachers one day thought Belle was simply to stupid and therefore shouldn’t go to school anymore? She didn't have much of an outlet either, she couldn't paint her feelings into beautiful masterpeices (as the most she could manage were stickmen) though she did dance, it wasn't anything powerful she could through her feelings into, it was simply pretty folk dancing her mother had made her take up.
It was these thoughts that plagued the young girl until one day she discovered something amazing! She could cook! Well bake. And not to toot her own horn, she was pretty damn good at it! She quickly gained an apprenticeship the local bakery and after leaving school she became a full time worker! At the age of twenty and with her own apartment its Belle’s dream to save up enough money to start her own bakery! And employ other people to work for her, she knows its a distant dream but she still believes in it.
Recurring nightmare: The 1914 invasion of Belgium. Belgium was invaded by Germany in 1914 as part of the Schlieffen Plan and much of the Western Front fighting of World War I occurred in western parts of the country, which included many Belgian troops and many foreign allies fighting the German troops. Sadly they lost and Germany occupied Belgium for the majority of the first world war.

Roleplay Sample: The short haired blonde awoke slowly, blonde eyelashes fluttered gently open as they brushed against the smooth skin of her face. Emerald eyes soon met the world, and with a long yawn she sat up pulling off the covers and jumping off the double bed. She smiled brightly as she pulled open the curtains and the morning sunlight flooded the room, painting it a bright yellow. Yellow was such a lovely colour it was one of her favourites, heck anyone could have told you that all you had to do was look at her bedroom; the sheets were a soft pastel yellow while the walls were painted spring colours giving her room a lovely sort of spring time look. She quickly moved to her chest of draws and pulled one open she raked through the tidy piles of clothes mussing up the neat piles as she pulled out a pretty set of clothes.
Shutting the drawer and not really caring for the mess inside it Belle hummed as she cross the tidy room, throwing shut the door to her bathroom she let the warm water of a shower cascade her body as pyjama’s were thrown across the floor. After finishing her quick shower she continued her morning with her routine. She yawned again as she stepped out of the bathroom fully clothed and ready for the day ahead. Belle loved mornings they were wonderful, she’d always though there was something absolutely beautiful about the way the sun would rise in the sky, making its way so slowly across as it bathed the island in its beautiful sunlight. She smiled and opened one of her apartment windows letting the cool morning breeze slowly filter through her bedroom. She smiled softly before she finally stepped out and carried on into the rest of her apartment.
Overall it was pretty small, with a tiny living room area and small kitchen it was certainly built for one person. Maybe two if the latter was tiny. Belle took up so much space she hadn’t ever thought of advertising for a roommate her clutter would probably anger them and she didn’t really fancy upsetting someone she’d have to live with. It’d be far too awkward and there was nothing worse than a tension filled atmosphere. It would just completely ruin her everyday routine! Which was something Belle didn’t ever want. Grabbing her coat she slipped it across her thin shoulders, it would be an early start at the bakery today. And as much as Belle loved working there she’d have much preferred to sleep in all morning. She was bit lazy in that sense but any of her friends could have told you that.
The jingle of bells that jangled as she threw open the bakery door echoed the quiet room. It was empty save for one of other person, Belle’s boss and the owner of the Bakery Mrs Weatherspoon. She smiled fondly at the elderly lady, she was lovely with a kind word for everyone she was the grandmother Belle had never met.
“Good morning Mrs Weatherspoon,” Greeted Belled as she tied her apron around her front.
“Oh Belle I’ve told you, call me Lena.” She said returning Belle’s cheery smile.
“But I couldn’t do that,” said Belle softly “I’d feel too rude.” She admitted sheepishly. Mrs Weatherspoon shook her head lightly the smile not leaving her wrinkled features.
“Don’t be silly, we’ve know each other far too long to be so formal. Besides you make me feel old calling me Mrs all the time.” The old lady retorted.
“Well okay then,” said Belle giving up “Lena.” The name still felt uncomfortable but who was she to refuse a friends wish.
