Name: Im Yong-soo
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Profession: Vocalist/musician
Highlander or Lowlander?: Highlander
All the strangers look like family
All the family look so strange
All the family look so strange
Appearance: Yong-soo has short, dark-brown hair that is usually combed back from his forehead. There is an oddly-shaped hair curl that curls upwards at the right side of his head. He has brown eyes that can sometimes be seen as light-brown in the sunlight. Yong-soo tends to be laid-back and that is shown through in his posture whenever he’s sitting, standing, etc. He is slightly taller than the average height of people around his age but he’s never bothered by that fact since he’s always working with people older than he is. He is usually found wearing button down shirts of various colors along with a pair of blue jeans. On some occasions, he’d be found wearing extremely mismatched clothes.
Personality: Yong-soo is a naturally cheerful person who doesn’t seem to be bothered by anything. Though he doesn’t seem to be smart, Yong-soo was actually a bright student. However, the stress of competing with his older siblings caused him to discontinue his education. Yong-soo usually hides his deep sadness of living away from his family and doesn’t complain about it since he knows that many people are much worse off than he is. Whenever he isn’t in a good mood, he plays his guitar and lets the soothing sounds take all his cares away as he’s playing. Though he doesn’t seem to notice another person’s moods, Yong-soo doesn’t like it when people are upset and would do almost anything to make them smile.
History: Yong-soo was born as the youngest son of an accomplished entrepreneur. He has four other siblings, all of which are older than he is. Therefore, he always had to compete with them to try and get more attention from his parents. Yong-soo strived to become the center of attention. He’d received high marks in all of his classes and did whatever he was told but for some reason, his parents neglected him. They didn’t even acknowledge Yong-soo’s existence at one point. Still, he tried but then, when he was fifteen, he started to encounter those eerie and terrifying nightmares of what seemed to be from past life. As Yong-soo grew older, these nightmares became more frequent and added to the built up stress he had. Eventually, when Yong-soo turned seventeen, he dropped out of school and chased after his dream of becoming a famous musician, much to his family’s dismay. But Yong-soo had stopped caring about what his family thought and left the house to continue to go after his dream. As a musician, he was able to express his thoughts through the music he played and the nightmares didn’t bother him that much anymore. As the nightmares stopped being a problem, Yong-soo realized that he misses his family but he knows it’s too late to go back and apologize.
Recurring nightmare: Events from the Japanese occupation of Korea, a time when Japan had stripped the Koreans of all freedom, forced them to take Japanese names, and treated them as inferior beings. They were forced to learn Japanese and were beaten whenever they were heard speaking their native language.

Likes:
- Music – He’s always liked listening to music, especially K-pop and Korean hip-hop (even if these songs are over 300 years old…)
- Dancing – Since he almost always has a song stuck in his head, he has to have a way to express it, right?
- The night sky – Looking up at them makes him wonder if there is an almighty being up there who watches over everyone.
- Seeing others smile – He doesn’t like being upset, so why should others be?
- Food – Aw, come on. Who doesn’t like eating delicious food?
Dislikes:
- Being ignored – Of course, he doesn’t like it!
- Silence – It makes him think too much.
- Enclosed spaces – He never liked being cooped up in small spaces.
- Being away from family – He realized how much he actually loved his family and he feels sorry for leaving.
- Thunderstorms – Thunder holds a striking resemblance to the gunshots in his nightmares.

(NOTE: I guess this is when Yong-soo was making his first debut… and it sort of reminds me of a certain Korean drama… just a little… ^^”)
Yong-soo couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous. He was getting ready for a concert, after all. He got dressed in the dressing room and is now waiting for the makeup artist.
Yong-soo jumped when someone touched his shoulder. “Gah-!”
“Relax, it’s just me,” his manager told him.
“R-right…” Yong- soo replied and chuckled slightly. “I shouldn’t be this nervous, should I? I’ve worked so hard for this…”
His manager shrugged. “It’s your first concert. It’s understandable.”
“Yeah… but what if I mess up?” Yong-soo asked.
“You’ll do fine. Plus, no one would make a big deal out of it,” his manager replied.
There was a knock on the door. “I’m here to do makeup!”
“Come in!” Yong-soo replied.
“And, I’ll be out. Call me if you need anything,” his manager said before exiting the door and letting a lady with blonde hair inside.
“Sure, I will,” Yong-soo replied as the door closed.
“So, you’re the new guy I keep hearing about,” the lady said, holding out her hand. “I’m Jinna and I’ll be doing your makeup for today.”
Yong-soo took her hand in a handshake and smiled. “Pleasure to meet you, Miss Jinna. I’m Yong-soo.”
Jinna laughed. “You don’t have to be so formal! Just call me Jinna.”
“Sorry, it’s a habit of mine when I meet new people…” Yong-soo replied, feeling a tad bit embarrassed.
“It’s fine, just remember that next time. Now, I’m gonna start doing your makeup so close your eyes, okay?”
Yong-soo did as he was told. It was hard to stay still since the brushes ticked his face a lot. He settled to tapping his fingers on the table in front of him. When the makeup was finally done, Yong-soo opened his eyes to see a reflection of himself that looked slightly younger and more attractive. He didn’t think that the makeup would have made such a difference. He sat there gaping at himself for several minutes until Jinna waved a hand in front of his eyes.
“Hellooo~?” Jinna said.
“Huh? Oh… sorry,” Yong-soo replied, shaking off his surprise.
“I take it you haven’t had makeup put on you before?” Jinna asked.
“Actually, I have. My sisters tried forcing it on me one time…” Yong-soo replied, shuddering. “Needless to say, it was horrible. I didn’t talk to them for months after that…”
Jinna shook her head, apparently trying not to laugh. “Oh, wow… that’s very… horrifying.”
Yong-soo pouted. “Liar. I can tell that you’re laughing on the inside.”
“So, how’s your family now?” Jinna asked.
There was a long pause before Yong-soo spoke. “I… don’t know. I haven’t spoken to them since I… left the house…”
“Oh, I’m sorry… I didn’t know…” Jinna said in an apologetic tone.
Yong-soo shook his head. “It’s fine.”
Jinna checked her watch. “Well, I have to go. You have about twenty minutes before you have to go out there. Good luck!”
“Thanks,” Yong-soo replied just before the door closed. His eyebrows furrowed as he grew nervous again. Twenty minutes, huh?
