Yong-soo had no idea why he was out in the park so late at night. Maybe it was just because the emptiness in his home bothered him. He settled for a spot under a tree, set down his guitar case, and just looked up at the stars and moon. He sat like for what seemed like an hour before taking his guitar out of its case and playing a soft, happy tune.
He used to always spend the calm nights like this. Playing as if he didn't have a care in the world. As if nothing ever went wrong in his life. He closed his eyes and let his spirit soar into the night sky while still playing the soft melody.

[Hope you don't mind me joining! ] Lilli had just finished housecleaning with her mother in Highland city. Normally, she'd go back home with her mother to the Lowlands but it was a nice, warm, calm night. She'd convinced her mother to leave without her, promising to be back for dinner. It was a rare chance. Lilli took the time to explore, walking to the north of the city where the parks where. She traveled the pathways, feeling alone and small in the world. It wasn't a bad feeling though. There were roses in bloom and being alone, Lilli felt almost as if she were in her own garden. She closed her eyes, smelling the sweet scent around her when she heard music.

[xD It's fine =D]
As Yong-soo ended the song, he heard someone approach the tree he was sitting by. He set his guitar down and slowly stood up.
"Uh... Hello? Who's here?" Yong-soo asked, looking out onto the moonlit landscape.
(sorry, it's kinda short...)

Lilli took a startled step back, then peered cautiously around the tree she was just about to pass . There was a man sitting there with a guitar and a guitar case that gleamed in the moonlight. It was left open as if he were collecting moonshine.
"Hello," Lilli smiled. "Um...were you the one playing? I was walking through the park when I heard music."

Yong-soo gazed at the girl who appeared. She seemed to glow in the soft moonlight. It was rare to find anyone walking around this late. Of course, he'd be accused of doing just the same...
He returned the smile. "Yes, I was. I'm Yong-soo. What's your name?"

"My name is Lilli," Lilli answered. "I'm from the Lowlands and I've never been here before or heard music like yours before. Did you write it yourself?"
She wandered a little closer now. The night was dark and it was easier to make out the musician's face. He looked very relaxed. Lilli took a careful seat at a polite distance away from him.
"Do you mind if I stay a while and listen to you play?" Lilli asked. "I've got a small tub of sauerkraut stew to share in my knapsack. I packed it for a snack and went a little overboard. It's...it's actually more than enough for two or even three people."

Yong-soo's smile grew wider.
"Lilli... that's a pretty name. Yeah, I wrote it myself," he answered as Lilli took a seat. "I don't mind if you stay a while and sure, I'd like some."
Yong-soo was glad that he had some company. He'd been feeling rather lonely lately.
"So what brings you out here?" Yong-soo couldn't help but feel a bit curious. "Especially at a time so late?"

"Thank you," Lilli said shyly as she set out the sauerkraut stew, placing it between her and Yoog-soo. "Your name is very nice too."
Lilli handed Yong-soo a spoon.
"There's nothing that's really bringing me out here," Lill continued. "I just haven't really been around Highland city except for work and I wanted to see what it was like. Do you normally come here to play music?"

"Thank you" Yong-soo replied, as he took the spoon. "Yes, I come here often. Whenever I just want to get some fresh air or to just play the night away, I’m here. It’s frustrating for me to stay home sometimes."
Yong-soo had no idea why he added the last part but he felt comfortable with Lilli so he let it go and smiled slightly to himself.

Lilli stirred her stew. She wasn't sure if she should ask about Yong-soo's family. Was if frustrating because of siblings wanting attention...or something else?
"It gets a bit boring at home for me sometimes," Lilli confessed. "There's just my father, mother and me. I love them, but then I also work with my mother and father, so I see them all the time! Do you have any brothers or sisters, or maybe you live alone?" Yong-soo looked older, so maybe he was already out on his own.

Yong-soo started to fiddle with the clasp on his guitar case. He never felt comfortable talking about his family.
"I have older siblings but I live on my own now. It's just frustrating to come home to an empty house all the time," Yong-soo replied. "Especially if you miss your family."

Lilli put down her spoon.
"Well, I guess that's why you fill it with music?" Lillie encouraged. "Also, no one complains if you play it too loud or too late. How long have you been playing? I don't really know how to play any instrument at all, but you're very good!"

Yong-soo nodded. “Yeah, I guess… and thank you. I’ve been playing ever since I was a kid. My parents forced me to learn at first but I learned to enjoy playing a while after that.”
A sad smile came across Yong-soo’s face as he picked up his guitar and strummed gently at it. “My parents used to love it when I played for them… but I guess they got tired of it as I grew older. It’s either that or they just got tired of me altogether…” He sighed as he continued to strum lightly.

"I don't think that's true!" Lilli blurted out, turning a bit red in embarrassment. She pressed on, trying to change the subject to something happier for Yong-soo. "I think your playing is wonderful! Is it something you wrote yourself or a favorite?"

Yong-soo smiled. "It's one of my favorites. I like playing it since the melody is so calming. Whenever I play with my eyes closed like this, I tend to go off into my own little world and just enjoy the present."
As he ended the song, Yong-soo paused before starting a new song. This, time it was a happier tune and it immediately lightened Yong-soo's mood. "So, how do you like it here?" Yong-soo asked with a smile.

"Do you mean the park?" Lilli asked. "Well, it's very beautiful. There are flowers in bloom and it's quiet and nice. And there's good music too!" She tapped her feet along to Yong-soo's tune, finished up her stew and began to put the utensils away. She smiled to herself when she saw that Yong-soo's bowl was empty.
