"What, what?" Antonio laughed again. "I'm getting ganged up on! You two are terrible," He clutched at his chest melodramatically. "Verbally assaulting little old me!" He grinned and winked playfully down at the younger girl.
He didn't usually bring people anywhere; in fact, most of his flirting (he didn't see it that way, of course; he just thought he was being friendly) was done at the bar. He wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind, usually, and hardly ever thought about how his words could be misconstrued. He thanked the shopkeeper and told him to come down for a few drinks after he closed shop.
"Will do, Antonio." The shopkeeper waved at Lilli. "You take care of yourself, okay?"

"I will!" Lilli waved back, her purchase happily bundled in one arm.
The shop's door slid shut softly, the bell above it tinkling merrily.
Lilli turned toward Antonio.
"It was nice to meet you," She said hurriedly, suddenly feeling very shy and self-conscious. They were no longer in the shop, the safe, comfortable place. She wondered if she would ever see Antonio again. Lilli didn't even know where his shop was located.
Lilli looked for a pen in her purse, tore off a bit of the paper bag which wrapped her purchase to scrawl her family's address. She did it carefully, making sure the street name was clearly readable.
"Please visit us if you ever need anything," Lilli said and handed over the scrap of paper. "I"m not sure how far your shop is, but this is where we are."

"It was nice meeting you, too, Lilli." Antonio took the bit of scrap paper from her, and snatched the pen from her hands, writing down his address on the paper wrapping his glasses as well. "I will, but in return, you must come visit me as well."
He handed her the address and her pen. "Don't hesitate to come over if you need anything, all right?"

Lilli carefully took the piece of paper from Antonio, folded it into a neat square and tucked it back into her purse with the pen. She looked at the sidewalk so Antonio wouldn't notice how happy she was.
"I promise!" Lilli said earnestly to the cement. "And I'll come to try your dishes too!"
