Arthur frowned a little at the laugh, but he listened to Alfred, smiling as he offered the blanket. He was pleased that Alfred didn't seem too upset by what he said, and as he listened he did squirm underneath it, moving just a touch closer to Alfred so there wouldn't be a gap for cold air to form in between them. "I'm glad you didn't leave." He said, softly. "I wouldn't have had such a nice breakfast." He added, with a chuckle.
Falling quiet as well, Arthur settled down to watch the film. It was one of his favourites from when he was a child, and he knew it well. It didn't take long before the combination of a full stomach and the warm blanket had him nodding, and the young man curled up a little, trying to keep his eyes open. He did start to doze after a while, though, and about ten minutes before the film ended his head drifted onto Alfred's shoulder.

"Hmnn....Well, if you don't really mind, I could make you meals every so often....As long as I don't bug ya." He added, glad that Arthur moved in a little more just so it wasnt as cold. However, the film completely stole his attention, and he didnt notice Arthur nodding off until he felt his head on his shoulder.
That caused him to freeze up slightly and tense, but one glance at the older male made him relax faintly, and after situating his legs more comfortably, he leaned on back into the couch and just let him rest. As the film ended, he let it be on the opening screen since it was quiet nyway, and using his legs he managed to get Seas to his free hand, which he snagged, and then began quietly reading, barely moving to not wake Arthur.

"Why would I mind that?" Arthur pointed out with a smile. "As long as you eat with me. And let me pay."
Arthur didn't sleep for too long, disturbed by the lack of noise as the film ended. He let out a sleepily little noise, and without thinking about it, nuzzled into the comfortable pillow that he was using. As he woke enough to realise that said pillow was Alfred's shoulder, he froze a little, pulling away. "A-ah, sorry." He said, quickly. "I didn't think I was that tired." He rubbed his eyes, yawning a bit as he sat up properly, away from Alfred. "Are you all right?"
Glancing at the TV and recognising that it had finished, he then looked back to Alfred. "What did you think? It looked like you were enjoying it." He asked, curiously.

"Fine, fine...But only on most things." He mumbled, not wanting to seem dependent on him apparently.
The nuzzling did make him tense slightly, but he forced it down, looking at Arthur with a faintly amused look as he stuck the others card in the book, closing it. "You looked more tired, and like you could use it. No harm done." He smiled, watching as he sat up before he nodded lightly, a little surprised himself.
"It was....Awesome, for lack of a better word. A classic I'd say, for all ages." Grinning, he sat back then finally rolled his shoulder. "I really liked it, it's not that often that I get to see something like that." He stretched out one last time, then looked out the window before humming. "Well, it looks like the rains stopped though.."

Smiling, Arthur was pleased that Alfred had enjoyed it. He stretched out a little himself, but he wasn't too tense even after the short nap. "I'm surprised you haven't seen it before, to be honest." He admitted. "But I'm glad you enjoyed it. If there are any more films you want to see, you just have to let me know. I can always rent them."
Glancing to the window, Arthur almost pouted, staring at the soft rays of sunlight that had finally broken through the cloud cover. "I guess you want to go, then." He said, quietly. "Unless you want to make that cake...?" He offered, sounding just a little bit hopeful. He'd enjoyed having Alfred around. It was nice to have someone to talk to for once. And he was getting quite fond of Alfred, even if the boy was a little twitchy at times.

The fact that Arthur seemed so depressed at him leaving honestly surprised Alfred, and he cocked his head before he pondered that. "Well...Yeah, I'll stay to make the cake for ya. I've overstayed though, so after that I should head out." Shifting, he squirmed to get out from the blanket, then stretched out slowly with a noise, ignoring when his shirt that had kind of crunched up as he had been sitting slid up a bit more and showed his muscular stomache while his back popped a few times.
"Mm...nnah~ That's better." Pushing the shirt back down, he then turned to Arthur, smiling. "Sorry, I'm gonna have to ask you to pay for the ingredients this time..." He said quietly then, looking a bit embarrassed and like it was shameful for him to ask him to do something like pay.

Chuckling at Alfred giving into him, Arthur couldn't help but smile. Well, that was a win win situation. He'd get to spend more time with Alfred, and he'd get cake. "You're always welcome here, but if you feel you have to go, then I won't keep you." He tried not to stare when Alfred stretched, but he couldn't help it. Damn. He'd been all too right when he'd said the boy was handsome...
"That's fine! I said that I'd pay anyway." Arthur pointed out. He pushed himself up, and ran his fingers through his hair. "I think I need to shower first, though. Do you mind? I'll only be ten minutes or so."

If Alfred noticed, which he probably didnt, he said nothing and just nodded as Arthur said that. "Alright, I'll just finish up this next chapter while I wait." He said, flopping on the couch again with a content noise, tugging the book back over. "But really, take all the time you need."
And with that, he settled in, looking up at him with a smile. As soon as Arthur was gone, he stuck the card in, and when he heard the shower running he moved into the kitchen. The dishes were done quickly, and as soon as they were finished and put away, he returned to the sofa, settling down to read while he waited.

Nodding at that, Arthur pulled away, heading into the bathroom. He showered quickly, glad to get rid of the sweet and grime from the night before, and then dried himself off. Wrapping the towel around himself tightly, he quickly made the journey between the bathroom and his bedroom. With the towel still around his waist, he hesitated. Was it worth dressing up for Alfred... He wasn't sure why the thought occurred to him, but he figured there wasn't any harm in trying.
He pulled out yet another pair of skinny jeans from his cupboard, dark this time, and matched them up with a slim fit green shirt, and dried his hair off as best he could. Throwing his towel over the radiator, he grabbed his wallet and a warm coat, before heading out. "Alfred! ... Oh. You didn't need to do the washing up. But thank you." He said, as he moved to start pulling his shoes on.

Alfred didn't even look up as Arthur moved from the bathroom to his bedroom, just turning the page and then when Arthur came out he just smiled brightly at the older man, of course curious as to if that was the style of clothing Arthur normally wore. He couldnt help but think it fit him, but then at the same time...He cocked his head at thinking that it was also a bit wrong.
Shaking his head lightly, he just chuckled. "Well they had to be done sometime, so I figured now was a perfect time." Standing, he went over and tugged his jacket on, zipping it up so he'd be warmer before he stood near Arthur, tugging his shoes on as well while going over the ingredients. "Ready?"He asked, smiling as he opened the door, for Arthur to go out first.

"I could have done it when you'd gone." Arthur pointed out, but he didn't want to argue too much, so he let it drop after that. Finishing pulling on his boots, he straightened up and buttoned up his shirt while he waited for Alfred. Smiling when the boy opened the door for him, Arthur nodded his thanks, and locked it behind them, before leading the way.
"Are you enjoying the book?" Arthur asked as he led the way down onto the street. "I know it's a very different genre, but... It was interesting to try out the different styles." He was still a bit unsure about how Alfred was enjoying them.
"O-oh, and I want to buy you some food. To put in your bag so you can snack on it." Arthur announced as they reached the street, holding the door open for Alfred this time. "Some dried fruit or something? I know it's not much, but just in case you need it."

Nodding at the question, Alfred smiled. "It's funny but....Was that the first time you've written any story that involves love?" He asked, not wanting to offend him but at the same time...He could kind of tell that Arthur seemed to not have the complete connection for that sort of thing...
The younger man frowned at what he said next though, and looked at him. "...Arthur, I'd feel a bit uncomfortable witht hat...I mean, I'm not used to anyone just giving me stuff, it makes me nervous because people usually demand something in return..." He said softly, looking to the side. "So please dont." And with that he walked out first, leading the way.

Blinking, Arthur nodded. "You can tell?" He asked, sounding a little disappointed with himself. "I... well, I've never really dated anyone, so I guess that shows." Probably best not to mention that he was bisexual and had no experience with women. Even at home, his step mother hadn't been the biggest of influences on his life.
Arthur frowned at Alfred, and then sighed. "I won't ask for anything... But if that's how you feel, then I'll leave it. Will you at least take some cake, since you're going to make it? I can put it in a pot for you." He didn't like the idea of leaving Alfred with nothing to eat, though at least he'd eaten breakfast. There was still some money at the cafe as far as he knew, enough for one or two meals, but that wouldn't last long and Arthur was worried about what Alfred was going to do next.
"And the money for the train back since I dragged you this far." Arthur added quickly. "Just so you don't have to walk across the no man's land. And in case it starts raining again." He let Alfred lead the way since he knew where the shop was now, watching him carefully.

"I can." He confirmed, but smiled at him softly anyway. "It's not a bad thing though. I mean, I've never been in love either, not really anyway...But you should write a book when you feel it the first time. I've heard the mind is incredibly stimulated at that time."
Alfred shook his head at the thought, humming. "I'll be fine, plus I dont wanna be carrying around cake in my bag. I'll have a slice before I go though, if that's alright with you." Leading the way, a hand stuck in one of his pockets before he closed his eyes. "...Fine, fine. I'll let you pay for that, but then you need to promise me you wont go looking for me like that again, and especially not in the seedy areas. I might not be able to get there intime if something happens again." Was said softly, looking ahead.
The walk wasnt too horrible though, and Alfred did have fun kicking a couple pebbles into puddles on the walk over. When they reached the store, he snagged a cart while they were at the front, giving him a smile. "So, what kind of chocolate do you like the best? Dark, milk..?"

Sighing out at that, Arthur pouted at Alfred a little. He couldn't help but be worried about Alfred. "Of course you can have a slice before you go. I'm not sure how I'm going to eat a whole cake anyway." He frowned a little, trying to think. "Will it freeze, do you think?" He asked, curiously, looking at Alfred. He could cut it up into slices and defrost one as he wanted one.
Sighing out, Arthur played with his fingers. "I can't promise that, Alfred, because I didn't mean to do it this time. I don't want you just to disappear, though." Running his fingers through his hair, he looked at the other man. "Will you let me see you again?"
Arthur moved to get a trolley, but Alfred beat him, so he frowned, but led the way into the shop. "Milk." He said, quickly. "If that's all right." He grinned a little. "I have a bit of a sweet tooth." He admitted. "Now, what do we need?"

"Mn, good. I'm glad I had a look at the stuff you had at home last night...Hmn? ...Yeah it should freeze alright. But I'd still eat it within two or three weeks at least so it still tastes good." He faintly pondered that, cocking his head before he smiled.
Faintly Alfred glanced at him then as he spoke, but then lightly tapped his fingers on the carts handle. "....Yeah...I guess so. But at least -try- to stay safer then..? I'd be really bummed out if something happened to you."
Smiling at the others decision, he nodded with a content hum, planning on doing a mix of dark and light for the strawberries anyway, and just pushed it onwards."Mm...Well, strawberries obviously. But uh...If you don't mind stocking up your fridge I can come cook for you sometimes too...?"

Arthur sighed out, and gave a soft nod. "I'll try. I promise to try. But you don't really need to worry. There's a couple of clubs I visit in worse areas than that, and I've never got into too much trouble before." Mind you, when he visited said clubs, he tended not to be drinking quite as much, since that wasn't what he went to them for. "Don't worry about me. I can look after myself." He reassured him.
"Mm? Not at all. What kind of things should I get, though? I don't want to have things that you won't eat." As they talked, he guided Alfred over to the fruit and vegetable section, leaning over to grab a punnet of strawberries and place it in the trolley for Alfred. "I prefer... um, simple foods, I suppose. Nothing too complicated. I like pasta, but I like stews and pies too." He offered, hoping that that wouldn't be too off the mark of what Alfred would eat. "I'm not too fussy, though. I don't like..." He searched for the word, moving his hand a little. "decorative food. Where it's daft little portions that you can't really taste, but it looks pretty on the plate." He didn't expect Alfred would try and make anything like that, but he wanted to make it clear.

Faintly nodding, Alfred frowned a little more to hear that he went furthur into the district before he just quietly hummed out. "Okay then..." He said softly, kind of wanting to say more, but he had to remind himself that he still was just a stranger, and he couldn't tell the man how to live his life.
As he listened to Arthur, he nodded, pondering what sort of things he could make while he would occasionally snag things. "We should get you some stuff to make sandwiches with when I'm not around to cook for you....But I do have some ideas of what to cook, but I could expand and give more variety if you had a cook book I could use." It was kind of thinking out loud, but halfway conversation anyway.
"Aw, and here I was thinking you'd like....A wafer thin mint." He said teasingly, using a different accent for it.

Pleased that Alfred accepted that, Arthur did relax a little. He wasn't thinking of Alfred as a stranger any more, but he didn't like to call him a friend in case that was too familiar. Following Alfred around, he watched what he was picking, annoyed that he couldn't be more help. "I can get a cookbook if you want." He offered. "And I do make sandwiches sometimes. When I can be bothered." Well, toast, normally, and there were sometimes when that came out too black even for Arthur's tastes, at which point he'd give up.
Growling at the teasing, Arthur did actually smack Alfred on the arm lightly. "Wanker. Only if I get the beer in a bucket before hand." He said, sniffing. Honestly, just because his family were British!
"You didn't tell me what you like to eat." He pointed out as they moved to another section of the shop. "Aside from hamburgers, I already saw that." He added, with a light chuckle. "We'll have to think of some way that you can let me know if you want to come over." He added, with a light sigh. If only Alfred had a phone.

"A cook book would be nice. I'd like you to have variety after all....Do you like stirfrys?" He asked, putting a few things in the cart as he passed them by. "Be bothered, please." He gave Arthurs arm a gentle pinch. "Nothing there, man." Teasingly he gave him a grin, but then flat out laughed when he was smacked, happy that Arthur got the reference.
"Ah....Well..I really love burgers, they're my favorite thing ever I think, with fries...But really, I like basically anything. Except Wasabi. That stuff makes me throw up." He found that out at a young age, and never tried it since....At the others thoughts though, he then rest his arms on the carts handlebar, thinking for a moment. "...Mn...I could probably have Joel call you. I mean, I'd probably go by there anyway, and if he has your number then it shouldn't be too hard for him to call by the time I'm on the tram?" He offered, smiling as they came to the chocolates.
He took a bit to figure out which kind of chocolate he wanted, but then he decided, and after looking the contents of their cart over, smiled. "Alright, we need the rum and then we're done! Unless you'd like to eat the cake with a bit of ice cream too. I'd suggest a vanilla."
