What a lame ass title.
Matthew was not the sort to be a troublemaker or a wanderer for that matter; he usually did what he had to do and that was that. Sometimes he would have a cup of coffee at home and it was decent enough. It took away all the reasoning of wanting to go out and buy coffee from some fancy schmancy place that probably had it come from a little packet that was pretty much like the stuff that was kept in his mother’s kitchen back at the house. Oh, yes, what a pointless journey that would be! But it was more of a question of what was actually necessary in the life he led; maybe flushing the toilet was accidentally killing some water fairy god or something. Who the hell could actually know? Some things were done without any thought and merely some sort of impulse pushed them to do so.
Like puberty.
Yes, getting one cup of coffee from some store was exactly like puberty. The logic was not too mindboggling and yet the similarities were oddly astounding.
So instead of settling for a regular ol’ cup of coffee he could have fixed up on his own back at the house, he was going to be the typical high lander and actually enjoy himself. Maybe it would not hurt, especially since Matthew disobeyed the laws of stereotypes here and again, being fucking perfect in every single fucking way. He really did not try to ponder too much on what he was not seeing, especially living his particular lifestyle. There were no thoughts spared, at least right now, to what could possibly be happening while he bought his cup of coffee. Hello reader, this is what we call a pointless tangent!
Anyway, Matthew was not at a little café with his wallet pulled out as he stared blankly at all the options of which he could poison his body with caffeine. He was not even sure what some of those things even meant, but if you could not completely understand it had to be good! Matthew shuffled over to the counter, glancing behind him to see if he was holding anyone up before he decided that it would be the best time to get on with his order. He ordered…something that he never actually really had before, forcing a smile to show that he was grateful that someone was working on such a nice day.
When he opened his wallet, it was unfortunately upside down. Meaning, you guessed it, the money fell out and scattered around him.
Holy shit, an unrealistic plot to distract you!

Finally! He was excited for the unexpected extended break between his morning shift at the music library and his afternoon class. He would have had a piano lesson in there too, but the younger student had canceled since she had hurt her wrist the previous day.
He felt bad for being happy over someone else's bad luck, but it meant some time for him to get away and explore the city. Well, just the nearby coffee house he loved to frequent whenever he could get away. They had a lovely patio where he could sit and read and watch the people as they walked by. The little cakes they served were quite good as well.
So feeling quite happy and lucky, he wasn't entirely surprised to see the bright little discs that rolled and bounced into his shoes as he opened the door. The world was showering him with money now.
Well, he wanted to believe that as he leaned down to pick up the coins, but he knew better. Luck is capricious. The owner would be looking for these soon. Sighing, he moved to stand back up, crashing heads with said owner as the other man had been leaning down and stepping forward to chase after the fallen contents of his wallet. "Mmrh, that hurt."
He adjusted his glasses that had gotten knocked askew. Only then did he notice the other man who had been knocked off balance and now was sitting on the floor feeling his chin and nose for damage. Suddenly he looked panicked and started searching the floor.
Roderich looked down and noticed a pair of glasses near his feet. He reached down and picked them up along with the dropped coins and walked over to the other man. "I'm terribly sorry for knocking you over. Is this what you are looking for?"
Roderich held out the hand with the items to him.

Well, hey, who needed to do something as ridiculous as thinking, anyway? Matthew’s own rounded glasses had fallen off of his face entirely. Keeping hold of his wallet, he straightened up for a short moment to realise that the world had gone blurry and only then to try to make sense of what was going on. Oh, so this is what one would call ‘social interaction’ whether they wanted it or not! It all made enough sense for Matthew to bash his head into the front counter. But, no, really—what the heck happened? He brought a hand up to his forehead, blankly staring blankly as at a brunet approached him. No, not to worry, he was just as dumb with or without the glasses! Matthew and his blind self could not feel any more embarrassed by his behaviour; he simply could not take himself out anywhere, could he? He lifted a hand to rub at an eye. Oh, hey, his glasses--! Aw, crap, he probably threatened the other guy’s life, didn’t he?
Matthew was not sure what to do with his own wallet, stuffing it in his front pocket. He grabbed for his glasses, first, practically thrusting them up the bridge of his noise. The coins, which did not seem as important right then, were finally grabbed and yet not counted. There was a short ‘pardon me’ as Matthew turned away from the stranger to set the coins down on the counter in front of whoever he ordered whatever from in hope of it would pay for—wait, what did he get again? Matthew was not able to have a perfect train of thought as though he had just gone through a life crisis. Well, for this kid, it may actually be just that.
“Um—no, don’t apologise, really. It’s my fault.” He said, turning back to facing the brunet stranger.
At least, he was going to say that. He was not naïve enough not to feel something relative ‘oh, hell naw you just didn’t done do that,’ but for once something went wrong and he had risked a few lives. Overdramatised? Hah. Not.

((Uh wow.? Matthew is more random than I'm used to. Where exactly am I supposed to go with that sir? Ok, Bravely going forward. Onward ho!))
He waved him off. "...Machts nichts*," he mumbled as he stared at the board, deciding if he wanted just a plain coffee or if he would splurge for an espresso.
"What will it be today sir?" The other clerk at the counter, a young blonde female barista had noticed him. Better be a small coffee he decided. The director would have his head if played poorly due to jittery hands.
"Small cup, Vienna roast please."
The young woman nodded and replied, "One Sol, please"
He fished some coins out his pocket and finding the right one, placed it in her waiting hand. She hurried off to fetch the cup.
"...it's short . .. quarter Sol sir." Roderich turned at the sound of the first barista's voice.
The average looking blonde youth next to him looked flustered as he started fumbling in his pockets. Poor guy looked like he might have a panic attack. Roderich shook his head inwardly as he glanced at the coins still in his hand. Well, he was probably still a little rattled from that fall earlier.
He pushed through the small pile of coins grabbing out the two needed and placed them in the barista's hand.
"Thank you sir." The young man gave them a friendly smile as he put the money in the register.
A female voice spoke up behind him, "Sir, here's your coffee," His barista had returned and held his steaming cup expectantly.
He grabbed it and with a quick thank you and a polite smile he turned back around to leave. He nearly ran into the young man a second time that day as the youth stood there staring with an odd look on his face.
Roderich honestly couldn't decipher his expression. Was he annoyed, distracted, worried? Regardless, he was currently holding up the line to the consternation of barista and customer alike.
He picked up the cup and handed it the young man. A half-smile was on his face as he tried a bit of dry humor, "It's already hot. No need to watch it so intently. Or are you going for a boil?"
The look the young man gave him told Roderich that his sorry attempt fell flat. 'Oh well', thought Roderich, at least the expression the young man was wearing was now easily decipherable. The youth looked so puzzled that he didn't really fight Roderich as he directed him to a nearby table out of the way of the counter.
"I'm Roderich, by the way. I wonder, are you feeling light-headed at all? We ran into each other pretty hard. A head injury's nothing to mess around with, at least father says it isn't." He gestured for the young man to sit down while he took the opposite chair.
*Not a big deal

((Oh dear, please don't be upset! All I meant was that I wasn't sure what you wanted me to do next in the roleplay. So, I was kind of guessing you wanted me to continue and not stop.))
((Matthew doesn't bother me like you think. I'm just not used to it. I honestly haven't done a lot of role playing and most of what I've done has been pretty structured, so this is different. (And for clarification-different isn't bad-just new.) And I'm learning how to adjust my style to fit. So, please forgive my missteps and don't give up on me. =w= ))
((Can we still continue? ))

( It is fine, I just was not sure if I had somehow bothered you or something of the sort like that. But, yes, we can continue when I finally get unlazy. I simply wanted to post this to let you know I was not offended or anything. xD; )
