It's fun to watch your big brother cook, especially when you don't have to do anything. After finishing his little pre-meal, Michael stood and went to get out the tableware. He spread out the napkin, folding them the way the butlers had shown him as a kid in the main house of his Aniki's family's mansion.
"I call drinks." He said quickly, making a dash to the fridge.

"All right," He says, adding garnish to some of the plates and ripping up some Italian bread (for the curry) from the bread cupboard. "It better not be coffee now,"
He scoops up the rice on the bowls and adds soy sauce to the eggs. Even if he was tired from a regular day of work, he would always cook. It was so fun for him; he and Shang got to eat without ordering takeout. And also he knew what was in his own food. No poison, no medication, just his own cooking.

"VROMMMMMMMMM-"
Micheal smiled devilishly. He loved big noises, especially the ones that made you shake upon hearing them. They left you gradually, tingling their way through and then echoing again through your mind as if you had no control. And that, my friends, is why Michael spent almost half the day finding the most obnoxiously loud blender in the entire island.
That, and making Aniki just suddenly freak out never got old.

Yao started humming a little tune, he hoped tonights dinner would be successful. He liked seeing the content look on Shang's face, it makes him feel that he's doing a good job in raising the kid. And well, Yao's still glad that he has someone to take care of; he had a simple selfish wish to not be alone. As he reminisced about his past he jumps up in fright from the sudden noise. It definitely made him shake, right down to his bones, "Aiyah! What the--...?!" Yao turns around sharply to the sound of the noise and face-palms.
"Shang...is this what you bought today?" He asked, momentarily angered at the loud object.

"Naw, it fell from the sky. I saved a little girl from getting hit and the police officer said I could keep it."
Michael doubted he even knew the difference between sarcasm and actual claims anymore. His tone refused to differentiate regardless so it didn't matter much to him.
He held up a blended mash of fruit and sugar with a small smirk, "Oh! Look, Aniki; it's pink. Your favorite colour."

"..." If Yao didn't know Shang well by now then he wouldn't be a good brother. But there was always a doubt even if he tried to be sarcastic, his tone would usually state otherwise. It's possible, it all depended on the events. The blender falling from someone's window, etc.
"All right, you bought it then," He shrugs, "It's fine, as long as it wor--...my favorite is /not/ pink! It's red..! He turns to him flustered.
Yao swears Shang has fun making him all flustered and freaked. He knows it. Granted, he doesn't hate Shang for it . They were brothers, that is what they were suppose to do.

"Pink. Red. Ponies." He shrugged, too lazy to consider it further. "Ah, try this."
Michael practically shoved the smoothie into his brother's arms- er...chest, really. Luckily it was a tall glass so the drink wasn't able to seep over the edges.
"If it's not good I'll make it again. If it is then...I forgot what I put in it so treasure it while it lasts."
It was rare Michael would put time aside to pull any sort of food or drink together. His Aniki liked to cook and critique foods but Michael...he just liked to eat them. Besides, things you make yourself just don't taste as good as when someone makes them for you.

"Poni--...okay?" Yao quickly goes to grab the drink before it actually spilled on him. It was a nice surprise because Shang made something for dinner, he had to drink it. That boy always loved to just eat and savor the contents. The drink itself looked good and safe, had pulp in it too so it was probably fruit or something. He takes a sip, it was really good.
"It's really tasty, thank you Shang," He smiled. And it was something he needed to treasure until its gone.

Michael quickly took it back, gulping a good half of it down. "Hm, yeah. It is good."
With a smile he handed back to him, going to reload the blender with a variety of island fruits. Without warning, he started it again, his face lighting up with a pleasant response to the obnoxious noise.

Yao facepalmed, he had a feeling that it this would happen. The noise was back too; boys needed to have their fun he guessed. Taking back the drink, he goes to the table and sits down. Setting the drink down, he waits for Michael to finish with his drink so they can eat.
"You really like that blender, don't you?"

Micheal didn't have to answer, the overly excited smile that had spread across his face was proof enough that blender was his new best friend.
He over-did it that time, to the point where the smoothie was nothing but a think fruit juice. Michael didn't mind though, it tasted just the same.
"Mine tastes better." He said with a small smirk, slipping in a little straw with a miniature parasol attached to the end.
Michael would collect the strangest things from his Aniki's family's mass parties. Last month was a luau, whatever that meant, and Michael had spent the most of the party raiding people's drinks for the little umbrellas that were stuck in with the straws. He had only been caught once by one of Yao's cousins. That of whom of which had laughed it off and seductively asked Michael for a kiss in exchange for her umbrella and her friends'.
He never really understood why his brother had gotten so angry after being spotted with the girl hanging from his side when he had gotten back home. The girl was a little angry too, but she didn't give much time to show it, she had gotten a little dizzy and would hiccup a lot. She had left before Yao could address her.

Yao waves off his comment, "Yeah, well you owe me half of it then,"
He sees the little umbrella and narrow his eyes just a bit. They were not going to the next party, especially what one of his cousins did last time. He was pretty sure Shang did not know what being seduced was and Yao was still too embarrassed to tell him the meaning of it. Why did his family drink so much anyway? Hangovers aren't exactly fun.

Michael smirked, "In that case, you'll have to take it from me."
He slipped the umbrella in his hair, just behind his ear. "Look Aniki, I'm a princess."
Sometimes, the things he does just makes you wonder...

"Too lazy," Yao said, knowing that Shang can probably best him physically. He then chuckled at his proclamation, he did wonder but this was his brother.
"Well your highness, the chair is waiting for you for dinner. I see you have made your refreshment for the night. After this, we shall wash the dishes yes?"

"Negative, Captain. Got some sleeping to do. Lazy chap like me can't afford to waste energy on the dirty work." He said with a salute, wondering how loud he could get his brother to yell this time around.
Putting his feet up on the table, Michael shooed his elder away, smirking.

"...Shang." Yao warned, unamused now. He frowns disapprovingly, with his hand to his hip. And these were some of these times where Yao had to reteach Shang some manners. Being respectful is something that he was ingrained to learn since he was young. It was an important lesson and he is sure to do the same for Shang.

Michael knew very well, just as his older brother did, to behave around others, especially elders. But he had grown to the age at which his Aniki was no longer the ultimate grown-up model he used to look up to as a kid. Like any other teenager, it was his time to wave off the respectfulness and have some fun.
And by that, he meant pulling his favorite anti-aniki card; the puppy-dog eyes.

"...urk." Yao facepalms, this technique had always been a weakness of his. It worked on him since Shang was a child but it seems as even as a teenager, it still works on him.
'Come on Yao, yo can ignore it. He's grown now, he shouldn't be able to do it anymore. Even though some other person would be so surprised.....aiyah.'
Sooner or later the internal battle was lost, his anger forgotten but his stubbornness remained.
"You're still helping me though aru. You're not getting away from this,"

Michael blinked innocently, slightly arching his back so he could take the position of a helpless child. "A-Aniki..."

...H-hey, you're not a kid anymore.." Yao tried to argue back but he was losing. Shang was good, very good and Yao's will was slowly draining. "Now stop it and eat before the food g-gets cold..."
